Sound Opinions: The Underachievers – Take Your Place

Damn! I’ve been waiting for some new heat from these dudes. Brooklyn duo, The Underachievers drops “Take Your Place” and if you’re not used to the bombardment of bars then this is a great way to get acclimated. AK and Issa Gold preps us for their new album and tour titled “Evermore – The Art of Duality” and if that name isn’t a heavy indicator of what to expect, peep their previous work as well as their solo EPs on their soundcloud. Produced by Mr. Bristol, I’m anxious to see the visuals for this one.

Coming out a bad environment, only thing many kids know is that you have to take someone else’s spot if you want to get anywhere. Making your own lane is looked down upon if you actually make it happen, and some people will try to take that over and from time to time, you have to let them know they gotta fight for it. Maybe I’m thinking too deep into the song but that’s what their music is all about, so keep your mind open and listen. Any resident of Brooklyn will feel like this is an anthem, with a hook I can’t wait to yell back at them at a show. Peep the track below.
