Sound Opinions: Laya LaRoché – NMA

Where the genres of music are expanding on a daily, maybe even an hourly basis, artists like Laya LaRoché are a part of the group who take aim to blur the borders. With her new video NMA (No Mutts Allowed), her and her crew (which she rightfully dubs the Alley Cat Gang) mob all over Washington Heights while having fun (much like cats do in NYC literally every day and night). While she has a smooth, sexy, effortless flow, I’ve heard her sing the roof off firsthand, so don’t sleep on the depths of her powerful voice and presence on the stage. NMA is off her project Seraphic Nightmare which you can stream on her site.

She produced the track too fyi!
