Whenever SXSW comes around our SoundCloud feeds are lit with new uploads from our favorite artists. This release however was a complete (and seriously appreciated) surprise from Jhene Aiko.

That’s right, the Slauson Hills songstress is back with a new joint in “Living Room Flow”. Delivering her signature soft yet sultry vocals over a Fisticuffs beat, Jhene’s surprise release is incredibly sexy, highlighting her feelings of a lover that’s so good she wants to do nothing more than please him. Don’t get too attached though, she’s looking not looking for love in this record, just a romp and she has no problem leaving once it’s over.

“I don’t want your heart or your love, just do what you do with my body, I just wanna ….”

Umm…hell yes.

We haven’t heard much from Aiko since her show-stopping verse on Omarion’s Post To Be (besides an appearance on Nick Jonas’s new song Chains) and although she’s heading out on the European leg of the 2014 Forest Hills Drive tour with J. Cole, this surprise release might be a hint that we have a new project coming from the Souled Out singer. Until then, we’ll be sure to  keep this on repeat.

The fearless leader of, Robin J. got her start in radio in 2010, creating a platform for under represented musicians and other artists to share their talent. Taking it to the web, she's set out to change the way the world looks at Indie/ re-emerging artists and bring back the appreciation for the new music. When she's not combing through TakeOvah music submissions, she's fake harmonizing at R&B shows, hosting local events and flirting with Starbucks baristas for free espresso shots.
