Chance the Rapper featured in new film “Mr. Happy”

As the rumor mill continues to buzz about the drama surrounding  Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran, Chance The Rapper is making blog-worthy headlines with real drama thanks to his newest offering. It’s not what you think, new music from the Acid Rap emcee might have to wait because it seems like the Chicago fan favorite has caught the acting bug.

Playing the lead in VICE’s newest short ‘Mr. Happy’, Chance is known as Victor, a young man battling depression and looking for an escape from his mundane and troubled life. After having endless thoughts of suicide but not being able to bring himself to do the dirty work, Victor heads online to find a way to his misery. After finding a low budget solution via, (a site that will do the dirty work for him) the young man takes out an irrevocable contract on his life which he begins to question after a chance meeting with an artist who ass some light to his world.

The film, directed by Colin Tilley highlights a battle millions face on a daily basis and adding a familiar face in Chance surely helps move the message. Hopefully this is the beginning of more on screen roles for the lyricist.
