After sending props to Yasin on “Peace to All Fear of None,” Wara’s back with a double header with “Skin Tone” and “Death Match.” I chose to present “Death Match” because it features another artist who’s making noise in ATL named J.I.D, plus their bars need to be heard. “Death Match” addresses how grateful Wara is to be alive in a world where any second tragedy can strike, not to mention that a good amount of the African American community doesn’t make it to 21 let alone 25. Death Match is produced by Chicago’s own Thelonious Martin. We should expect a project from Wara within the next few months and if you’re not hip to J.I.D, check him out. Peep the funk below!
