Fall in love with Kyle Dion’s sound

This young talent from Florida is tugging on our ears.

Coming from the “Sunshine State,” Kyle Dion’s music has the aura that surrounds Florida’s perfectly given nickname.  Kyle has had a deep love for music since a young age.  When he was nine his mother noticed his passion and decided to set him up with voice lessons.  I bet she’s glad to say that wasn’t just another temporary hobby so many kids seems to breeze through.

With every year that walked by after those voice lessons his love for the art of music grew.  He continued writing, singing and performing, finding his soul mate in R&B.

Currently Kyle is busy getting busy on his upcoming mixtape Sixes and Sevens due out the end of this summer.  The process of creating Sixes and Sevens is a self-finding one for the 20-year-old singer.  He studied and explored the genre having already claimed artist like Boys II Men and Sisqo as his role models.  When Kyle found his souleasing sound for his upcoming project, it was time to take off with the creative process.

The TakeOvah team is hypnotized by his style and I have a personal addiction to his song “Better” as well as his latest single “Purple Meadows,” which will be featured on Sixes and Sevens.

Shout out to Kehlani for tweeting about his skills!

Ayanna has always had a love for music, pen and paper. Since her young days of Whitney Houston being played in her Brooklyn brownstone and scribbling in her Lisa Frank diaries, her passion for the three have only grown. She followed her pen and paper and graduated from Penn State in 2011 with a degree in Print Journalism. Shortly after Ayanna began writing for Hipolitics, a site geared toward making social consciousness hip. She was also brought on board as the Reality Check blogger for WBLS.com. Now, she's following the music. She currently owns her own R&B-focused blog Sosheleyes.com "sharing dopeness" that her own ears love to hear.
